The hunger games - recommended!

I watch the hunger games yesterday , it was great!!

First let me admit that I haven't read the book. I think the movie is great for those who haven't read the book....because I saw so many people who have read the book spoil it as the movie changed a numbers of things from the book. They said the movie has followed the story line but lacks intensity and emotional depth...and I think so. I think the book must explain better.

To me, everything is clear ,well directed, and greatly performed by the main characters! My expectations were very high and I am really satisfied. Jennifer Lawrence can really shows enough emotions of  Katniss with her good expression , making me feel the graveness of her situation...and her inner feeling . However, Hutcherson as Peeta is too weak !!I expect a boy should protect his girl but instead, in the moive, Katniss plays his role!! Yet he is so handsome.  It is also astounding that the character development is almost nonexistent and unconvincing. Their romance seems lack a good fundation . And I think Gale is so sad :(  Yes, Katniss loves him, but the hunger games destroyed their relationship. At the end, Katniss seems undecided whether to choose Peeta or Gale. I know she loves gale but....she is supposed to love Peeta because of the hunger games. This will leave for the second movie to explain.

The movie broke me into tears , when Katniss volunteer to be tribute and Rui died....and I think "Safe and Sound" can add in when Rui died!!! I was so disappointed that the song wasn't in the movie!!! I expected to hear Taylor's voice...... It will make the movie more touching :'(

One more thing. The movie feels too short , maybe it's not enough for me . I feel like all the things as if goes by in an hour,...but actually it's almost two and a half hours long!!! Anyway I enjoy watching it ^^ ( although sometimes the scenes were shaky. )

After watching the movie, I think I should read the book instead!!! ... and I can't wait for the hunger games 2  (Catching fire)and 3(Mockingjay) to be shown on screens!!and I hope the next movie can be done better :)  Anyone haven't watch the movie please do!!! I highly recommend it cuz it's worth watching . and I think most teens would love it! ( but if you have read the book then the movie might not be in your favour.)

Jennifer Lawrence - sexy and stunning.

I usually won't write a review of movie but the hunger games is an exception.

  3. Loved the movie but cringed at the same time & thought the beginning was a slow start but, overall a good film.

I have to agree that Peeta was/is way too weak but, with Khatnis they make a great duo since she's the muscle/skill & he's the brain/wit.

    Great post<3

  4. I saw The Hunger games couple weeks ago, same as you, I haven't read the books. So of course movie was great. :) It was interesting but at the same time it felt really sick movie. At least here in movie theather some little girls were laughing when they killed each others. It felt really odd at the same time and freaking irritating.
    Somehow I really liked Peeta : D

  6. I read the books back when they were first released, so they weren't perfectly clear in my mind when I went to see the movie- which I thought was wonderful! I don't have much difficulty separating the movie from the book and seeing them as different mediums that tell a thrilling story.

Loved Effie's wild hair and style! Loved the whole feel of the movie. Can't wait till Catching Fire! ^.^

  11. Ah ! I was at the preview in France ! *o* The actors and the director were there too !
    It was so great !

First, I read the books (even if I don't want to finish the 3rd...) and I was scared for the Rue's death... But... It was amazing ! I remember in the auditorium everyone was crying at this moment ^^

For 'Safe and Sound' maybe you already know it but it's at the end ;)For the closing sequence :3

  12. I really hate to say it, but I didn't like the movie. I've read the books and the movie just failed, in my opinion. So many things weren't right( the worst thing was the way Katniss got the Mockingjay-pin, that was horrible)

I know I will get many hater for my opinion, but I also dislike Jennifer as Katniss (I don't even like the character Katniss herself, so. xD)

and, I disagree with your 'Peeta is weak thingie' 'cause in the books he's weak too and Katniss want to save him because they can win together. So I thought that was good acting xD

Also, I didn't cry at anything (but that's just because I never really cry at movies xD)

    And the camerwork was terrible..

I do hope I don't get too many hates for this, it's just an opinion of one girl. And I know that many people liked/loved the movie, I'm cool with that. But some people just have to understand (and accept) that not everyone liked the movie :)

    1. I understand that and I saw so many people hate it on the internet too! So feel free to express your opinion! :D What's the way that Katniss got the Mockingjay in the book?? I want to know it haha xd I understand your point... Maybe Katniss is so strong and skillful at hunting ...makes me think that Peeta is weak.Ya but as you said, Peeta is weak in the book too xd Overall good acting!! I like the camerwork although sometimes it's shaky ...... thanks for making such a long comment!! :D

    2. Katniss got the pin from her good friend Madge, the daughter of the mayor of district 12 (she is not in the film), she gave it, because all of the tributes can have a little reminder of their districts, who they fight for/who they are representing. Madge got the pin from her aunt who meant a lot to her (who will be named in book 2 so I'm not going to spoilt that for you!) and she really want Katniss to have it. For their friendship and for representing district 12 :)

But, since Madge is not in this movie, I think they will cut her out of the second one too. But that would be weird if they are going to show her aunt and want to explain things..

But I'm gonna let you read the books and see for yourself ;0 I'm only giving spoilers i people want me to ^^

    3. Oh thank you for telling me that!! The movie did change it to a worse vision...... :( it lost the meaning of the pin too.

  13. I didn't hear about the Hunger Games until a couple of weeks ago. When I realized how hyped it is I had to order the books, but they're out of stock so I guess they're getting really popular here in Sweden as well:/

  14. thanks for your help^^ I will try it next time.
20 minutes wouldn't be a problem for me to wait..but sometimes I have to wait 7 or more hours, that's so annoying. most of all if I wrote the blog entry at the evening, telling about "what I did today" and it appears the next day, I have to change the whole text into "what I did yesterday" - annoying (T.T)
